Memorial of Saint Teresa of Avila
Psalm 33:22 May your kindness, O Lord, be upon us; who have put our hope in you.
Thank you Lord for your love and kindness and for never abandoning us who have faith and hope in you. Help us to have strong confidence and trust in you to be with us in our difficulties and trials today and take away our fear of failure and worry about things we cannot control or problems we cannot solve.
Luke 12:7,24 Are not five sparrows sold for two small coins? Yet not one of them has escaped the notice of God….
Do not be afraid. You are worth more than many sparrows.” 24 Consider the ravens, they do not sow or reap; they have no storehouses and no barns; yet God feeds them….. how much more are you worth than the birds. If God would make time to think about something so insignificant in the busy world, how much more will he be taking care of our needs. (In part from reflections by Father Daniel Ray, LC)
If Christ Jesus dwells in a man as his friend and noble leader, that man can endure all things, for Christ helps and strengthens us and never abandons us. Whenever we think of Christ we should recall the love that led Him to bestow on us so many graces and favors, and also the great love God showed in giving us in Christ a pledge of His love.
